How to choose
- Post section: match the support to the post. Options cover Ø42.4×2 mm tube, 40x40 mm profile and one 48.3 mm version.
- Fixing method: choose anaerobic bonding, drive-in, or a rod for welding to the post. The Postal support also uses an M6 screw fixing.
- Fixed or articulated: articulated supports allow handrail angle adjustment on stairs. The fixed adhesive bracket has no angle adjustment.
- Material and finish: most items are AISI 304 with a satin finish. Two are AISI 316, and two AISI 304 items are polished.
- Geometry: choose a straight support, or a 90° bracket or rod for corners and galleries.
Typical applications
These supports are used in stair, balcony and terrace balustrades, indoors and outdoors depending on the product. Articulated versions suit stairs, because the handrail angle is set without cutting parts to individual angles. Bonded versions avoid welding on site, while rods are intended for welding to balustrade posts.
Frequently asked questions
How are bonded handrail supports installed?
The pin is bonded into the post tube with anaerobic adhesive. It bonds on contact with metal and cures when oxygen is cut off. This gives a permanent connection without welding on site.
Can the handrail angle be adjusted?
Yes, on articulated and adjustable supports, which suit stair balustrades. The fixed adhesive bracket has no angle adjustment, which keeps the connection rigid.
What threads do the support rods have?
Most rods have an M8 external thread, and many also have an M6 internal thread. Sizes are Ø12×75 mm and Ø14×75 mm, including 90° versions at 75×75 mm.
