Lightning protection connectors for round and flat conductors
Connectors in this category join round and flat conductors in lightning protection systems. How to choose
- Conductor size: check the wire diameter first. Some products take Ø8 mm only, others Ø8-10 mm.

- Connection type: choose a cross, through or inspection connector, or a seam clamp, to suit the layout.
- Impulse current class: class H2 (200 kA) applies to the cross connectors. Class H (100 kA) applies to the through connectors, inspection clamp and DIN connector.
- Coating: most products have galvanic zinc plating with a polymer seal. The seam clamp is electrolytically galvanised steel.

The 3-plate cross connector for tape up to 40 mm, the 4-hole inspection clamp, the universal DIN double connector and the seam clamp all take Ø8-10 mm. The 2-hole through connectors take Ø8 mm only.
