Adapters in this category are used to fix photovoltaic structures to roofs. How to choose
- Material: choose stainless steel (1.4016 H17 or 1.4301 A2) or corrosion-resistant aluminium, depending on the structure.
- Thread and hole: match M10 or M12 to your fixings. The adapter in the screw sets has a 10.5 mm hole, and the aluminium adapter has an 11 mm hole.
- Adjustment: use the 65x65 mm angle bracket when the panel position must be adjusted. The other products are fixed adapters.
- Complete set or adapter only: sets combine the screw, adapter, EPDM washer and flange nuts. Flat adapters are compatible with double-threaded screws.
- Screw length: sets are available with 200, 250 or 300 mm screws, chosen to suit the roof build-up.
Typical applications
The sets are designed for solar installations on pitched roofs covered with metal sheet, shingle or felt, and on flat roofs. One end of the screw has a wood thread for the timber roof structure. The other end has an M10 metric thread for the adapter. Flat adapters are used with double-threaded screws on metal and bitumen roofing.
