Underfloor heating accessories: tackers, clips, rails and plugs
The Underfloor heating category covers the fixing and installation items needed to lay and test heating pipes. It includes tacker staples, tackers, mounting rails, clips, wall-to-floor bends, pressure test plugs, pipe unrollers and insulation foil. It is intended for installers who fit pipes in wet screed systems and in wall heating.
What you will find in this category
- Welded tacker staples: 35, 40, 50 and 60 mm lengths in polypropylene, in packs of 250-720 pcs.
- Tackers and kits: Taker Ultralight (polyamide body) and the aluminium tacker, both for 35-60 mm clips. Kits include 4200 staples of 40 mm or 3500 staples of 50 mm, enough for approx. 150 m².
- Clips and pipe holders: single-finger clips for 12-20 mm pipes, double-arm and single-arm clips for Ø16-32 mm, mat clips and foil fixing clips.
- Mounting rails: for 10-12, 16-18 and 20-22 mm pipes, 1000 mm (2×500 mm), with or without self-adhesive tape.
- Wall-to-floor bends: 90° bends for 10-12, 14-18 and 20-22 mm pipes, in glass fibre reinforced polyamide.
- Pressure test plugs: reusable, G 1/2" and G 3/4" threads, or for 16, 20, 25/26 and 32 mm pipes. Red and blue.
- Pipe unrollers: galvanised steel frame, coils Ø240–980 mm, one version supplied with a bag.
- Insulation foil: 50 m roll, 105 µm, with 10/5 cm grid print.
How to choose
- Pipe diameter: match rails (10-12, 16-18, 20-22 mm), bends and clips to the pipe. Staples of 35 mm suit pipes Ø14-22 mm.
- Fixing method: use tacker staples for speed. Choose rails with adhesive tape to avoid drilling, or rails without tape for fixing through mounting holes.
- Tacker compatibility: both tackers handle 35-60 mm clips, glued and welded. Choose the polyamide body for low weight or the aluminium block for durability.
- Pressure test plugs: choose by thread (G 1/2", G 3/4") or by pipe size and type. The 16-32 mm plugs are for PEX/AL/PEX and PERT/AL/PERT pipes.
- Coil size: check that the unroller takes your coil. Its limits are Ø240–980 mm, height up to 550 mm and up to 600 m of pipe.
Typical applications
Staples and tackers fix pipes in the insulation layer of wet screed systems. Rails hold pipes at even spacing in floor and wall heating. Wall-to-floor bends guide the pipe at 90° from the heating surface to the manifold. Pressure test plugs close the circuits during testing, and insulation foil protects the insulation against moisture.
Frequently asked questions
Which clip sizes do the tackers handle?
Both Taker Ultralight and the aluminium tacker handle clips of 35-60 mm, glued and welded. The starter kits use the same range.
Can mounting rails be fitted without drilling?
Yes. The versions with self-adhesive tape are bonded to the substrate. The versions without tape are fixed through mounting holes.
Are the pressure test plugs reusable?
Yes. All the plugs in this category are described as reusable and have an o-ring seal. The pipe versions are made of polyamide.
