How to choose
- Connector type: use anchor brackets for timber on concrete, beam brackets for rigid joints between beams, and perforated plates for connections in a single plane.
- Sheet thickness: products range from 1.5 mm to 5 mm. Heavier beam brackets (KB 3, KB 4) are 5.0 mm thick.
- Load capacity: where stated, values run from 2.51 kN to 10.60 kN. Check the value for the exact size you need.
- Material and finish: all products are steel. Grades include S235, DX51D + Z275 and DC01, with yellow, gold or hot-dip zinc coatings.
- Hole layout and fixings: check the hole diameter and whether it suits your nails, screws or bolts. Some products carry ETA or CE marking.
Typical applications
Anchor brackets secure posts, sill beams and wall plates to a concrete substrate. Beam brackets join roof trusses, pergolas and decking frames. Perforated plates connect roof trusses and timber framing. Smaller angle brackets serve furniture, joinery and light timber structures. Adjustable KR brackets have slotted or oval holes for position adjustment.
Frequently asked questions
Which brackets anchor timber to concrete?
Anchor brackets KK 1, KK 2, KK 3, KK 11 and KK 12. The lower part is embedded in concrete, and the timber is fixed to the protruding section.
Why do beam angle brackets have staggered holes?
The staggered layout stops nails being driven into the same wood grain. This reduces the risk of splitting.
Is there a bracket that allows for timber movement?
Adjustable bracket KR 1 has oval holes that compensate for timber expansion stresses. KR 2 has slotted holes for position adjustment.
