About the product

The post support is used to secure a post above a foundation. It consists of a width-adjustable U-shaped bracket and a rod for embedding in the substrate (e.g. in concrete). The post is fastened to the bracket sides through their holes, and the spacing between the sides is locked using the adjustment bolts.

Adjust the bracket width (b) to suit the post width – the adjustment range is 0–165 mm. The length of the rod embedded in the substrate (L) is 190 mm, and the sheet metal thickness is 3 mm. During installation, embed the rod in the substrate and align the bracket with the post's axis. Then set the spacing between the sides to the post width, tighten the adjustment bolts and fasten the post through the holes in the sides. The illustrative drawing shows one of the width adjustment settings.

The steel has the following coating: silver electro-galvanised, which protects it against corrosion under typical conditions. Where exposed to salt, chemicals or persistent moisture, a version suitable for the exposure conditions must be selected. The manufacturer does not specify the post support's load capacity. Selection for the structural loads and the installation method are determined by the design.
