Beam angle bracket KB 3 is a robust, three-dimensional connector made from galvanised steel, designed for fast and durable joining of timber elements. This model, with dimensions of 180×120×40×5.0 mm, delivers exceptionally high connection strength. Its defining feature is the staggered arrangement of fixing holes, which prevents nails from being driven into the same wood grain, reducing the risk of splitting. It is ideal wherever you need a stable, rigid connection — from roof trusses and pergolas to decking structures and garden shelters.

The connector is manufactured from heavy-gauge S235 steel plate with a yellow electro-galvanised coating, providing effective corrosion protection and long service life even in demanding conditions. KB 3 angle brackets carry fire reaction class A1 — non-combustible material — which is significant in the context of fire safety requirements.
Ease of installation is a key advantage of the KB series. Standard fixings are all that is required — ring-shank nails Ø4 mm or timber screws Ø4 mm or Ø6 mm. Screws and nails are driven directly into the timber substrate, with no pre-drilling required.
Features and Benefits
- Fast installation: no pre-drilling required — nails and screws driven directly into timber
- Stability and rigidity: three-dimensional design guarantees a secure angular connection
- Corrosion protection: electro-galvanised coating ensures long-term durability
- Fire class A1: non-combustible material
- High aesthetic quality: neat finish suitable for exposed structures
- Enhanced safety: staggered holes reduce the risk of timber splitting
- Outstanding strength: heavy 5.0 mm plate ensures a solid connection
Installation guidance: timber elements to be joined should be free from defects such as knots, cracks or rot, as these reduce the strength of the connection. For joints made using three-dimensional connectors, ring-shank nails with a diameter of 4 mm and a minimum length of 50 mm should be used, or other ring-shank nails to EN 14592 with a diameter of 4 mm and a characteristic load-bearing capacity of not less than 1.55 kN.
