Description
U-shaped bracket with 0–165 mm width adjustment, on a 100 × 100 mm base plate; post 85 mm above the substrate
About the product
The support is used to secure a post to the substrate via the base plate. It features a U-shaped bracket with adjustable width, which holds the post at a clearance above the substrate.
Adjust the bracket width (dimension b) to suit the post width — it can be adjusted within the range 0–165 mm. Dimension h is the clearance between the post and the substrate, which is 85 mm. The base plate dimensions c × c are 100 × 100 mm. The drawing shows one of the width adjustment settings. During installation, set the spacing between the bracket sides to the post width and tighten the adjustment bolts. Secure the base plate to a load-bearing substrate using fixings suitable for the substrate type, and fasten the post to the bracket sides through their holes.
The sheet metal thickness is 3 mm. The product is made of steel with the following coating: silver zinc-coated. This protects the steel against corrosion under typical conditions. Where exposed to salt, chemicals or persistent moisture, choose a version suitable for the exposure conditions. The manufacturer does not specify the post support's load capacity — selection for the structural loads is determined by the design.
