Square Aluminium Profiles and Tubes for Frames and Structures
Our square profiles are closed aluminium tubes in EN AW-6060 T6/T66, with sides from 15 mm to 150 mm. Installers and fabricators use them for frames, racks, balustrades, handrails and light load-bearing structures. The range has 31 products in several wall thicknesses, so you can match the section to the job.

How to choose
- Cross-section: choose the outer side from 15 mm to 150 mm according to the span and the size of the structure.
- Wall thickness: available from 1 mm to 5 mm. A thicker wall adds rigidity and weight. A 50×50 mm tube weighs 2.08 kg at 2 mm and 4.86 kg at 5 mm per 2000 mm.
- Length: nearly all products are 2000 mm. The 40×40×2 mm profile is also offered in 6 m.
- Surface: the tubes are raw and non-anodised. Plan any anodising, powder coating or polishing after cutting and fabrication.
- Alloy: EN AW-6060 T6/T66 (PA38, AlMgSi0.5) throughout the range.
Typical applications
These closed profiles are used for load-bearing constructions, fencing, handrails, balustrades, mounting frames, racks and aluminium structures. They are also used for furniture components. The alloy resists corrosion and can be used indoors and outdoors. The square section distributes load evenly in both axes.
Frequently asked questions
Are the tubes anodised?
No. The tubes have a raw, non-anodised surface. This leaves you free to anodise, powder coat or polish them after fabrication.
Can the profiles be cut, drilled and welded?
Yes. The 40×40×2 mm profile is described as suitable for cutting, drilling, welding and anodising. The tubes can also be bent and joined.
What alloy are they made from?
All products are EN AW-6060 T6/T66, also designated PA38 or AlMgSi0.5. The 40×40×2 mm profile is listed as EN AW-6060 T66.
