Rectangular profiles: aluminium tubes for frames and structures
Rectangular profiles are closed aluminium tubes in EN AW-6060 T6/T66, supplied in 2000 mm lengths. The category holds 65 products with different cross-sections and wall thicknesses. They suit installers, fabricators and builders who make frames, mounting structures, balustrades and furniture components.
What you will find in this category
- Small sections, for example 8×12×1 mm, 10×20×1.5 mm and 18×30×1.2 mm, for light frames and decorative elements.
- Medium sections, for example 20×40×2 mm, 30×60×3 mm and 50×80×2 mm, for general frames and supports.
- Heavier sections, for example 40×60×4 mm and 60×120×4 mm, for load-bearing structures.
- Large sections, for example 50×150×4 mm, 80×140×4 mm and 100×200×4 mm, for the biggest spans.
- All tubes are 2000 mm long, with wall thicknesses from 1 mm to 5 mm and a raw, non-anodised surface.
How to choose
- Cross-section: match the width and height to the frame or support you are building. Taller sections give more rigidity in one direction.
- Wall thickness: thin walls of 1-1.5 mm keep weight low. Walls of 3-4 mm suit more demanding structures.
- Weight: check the weight per tube or per metre. For example, 50×80×2 mm weighs 1.39 kg/m and 100×200×4 mm weighs 6.31 kg/m.
- Alloy: all tubes are EN AW-6060 T6/T66 (AlMgSi0.5 / PA38), so the material is the same across the range.
- Finish: the surface is raw. Plan anodising, powder coating or painting if you need a finished look.
Typical applications
These tubes combine low weight, rigidity and natural corrosion resistance. They are used for frames, mounting structures, balustrades, handrails, furniture and decorative elements. They also appear in aluminium structures for photovoltaics and construction. The profile can be cut, drilled, bent and joined with standard workshop tools.
Frequently asked questions
Are the tubes anodised?

What length are the tubes?
All products in this category are 2000 mm long.
Which alloy is used?
EN AW-6060 T6/T66, also designated AlMgSi0.5 or PA38.
