About the product

The cantilever gate track forms the load-bearing section of a cantilever sliding gate leaf. It is welded to the gate leaf frame, and the carriages anchored to the foundation run inside it.

The section has external dimensions a × h of 80 × 80 mm and a wall thickness s of 5 mm. The bottom wall has a 27.5 mm slot through which the carriage supports pass. The section length L is 6000 mm; the dimensions are taken from the manufacturer's drawing.

The section is made from uncoated steel, so it must be protected against corrosion after the gate leaf has been fabricated. Each piece weighs 60.132 kg.

Selection and installation

✓Choose carriages to suit the 80 × 80 mm section – the section and carriages must be from the same system size.
✓Cut the section to length and weld it to the gate leaf frame with the slot facing downwards; the 27.5 mm slot guides the carriages.
✓After welding, protect the steel against corrosion and close off the track ends using a track end cap with a wheel.

Important

The permissible gate leaf weight and length are determined by the cantilever gate kit, not the section alone. Check the carriage specifications before selecting the section.
