How to choose
- Tube or rod size: match the outside diameter or cross-section and the 2 mm wall thickness listed for the cap.
- Material: AISI 304 is the most common choice, AISI 316 is available for selected sizes, and aluminium suits the Kozza handrail.
- Fixing method: choose push-in, anaerobic adhesive, grub screw or welding to suit the job.
- Shape and height: flat caps sit low, convex heads are 4-8 mm high, and ellipsoidal domes reach 22-30 mm.
- Finish: most caps are satin, and some are polished. Match the finish of the tube.
Typical applications
Push-in caps close handrail and post tubes on balcony, terrace and stair balustrades. They also protect the tube interior from precipitation and corrosion. Rod caps and balls finish balustrade rods, and welding caps close larger tubes. Kozza caps finish aluminium handrails on glass balustrades.
Frequently asked questions
Do push-in caps need adhesive?
Convex push-in caps have a knurled stem that seats in the tube without adhesive. Rod end caps and balls are bonded with anaerobic adhesive. The oval Ø12 mm rod cap uses a grub screw.
Which caps are available in AISI 316?
Two products: a convex push-in cap for Ø42.4 mm tube and a Ø12 mm rod end cap. Both have a satin finish.
Are the Kozza caps sold as a pair?
Yes. Each Kozza set contains 2 pieces, one for each end of a Ø40 mm aluminium handrail.
