How to choose
- Application: choose an AC (mains) or DC (photovoltaic) switch. They are not interchangeable.

- Number of poles: AC switches are available as 1P, 3P, 3P+N and 4P. DC switches are 2-pole or 4-pole. The 2-pole Eaton P-SOL30 is described as suited to unearthed PV installations.
- Rated voltage: match the circuit. AC ratings are 230V, 240V, 400V and 415V. DC ratings are 1000V.
- Type and protection: select a fuse switch disconnector if the circuit needs fuses. Check the protection degree, which is IP20 or IP40 on the DC models listed.

No. The PV circuits in this category use dedicated DC switches rated 1000V DC, in 2-pole or 4-pole versions. AC switches are rated 230V AC to 415V AC.
How are the DC isolator switches mounted?
The DC models listed are mounted on a 35 mm DIN rail (TS-35 or TH35). The 4-pole 16A and 32A versions are 4 modules wide.
Is there a switch that also holds fuses?
Yes. Two fuse switch disconnectors are listed, both 3P 63A, one from HAGER (D02) and one from EATON (D01/D02).
