Description
M8 Sliding T-Nut with Spring Ball for PV Profile – Aluminium 6060

M8 sliding T-nut with spring ball (nutenstein) is a key fastening component used in photovoltaic installations. Made from aluminium 6060, it combines high mechanical strength with light weight and corrosion resistance. The T-nut allows mid and end clamps to be fixed anywhere along the mounting profile, giving the installer full freedom to position PV modules.
The built-in spring ball prevents the T-nut from falling out of the profile groove before the bolt is finally tightened, which significantly simplifies work on the roof — the component stays in the desired position while clamps and panels are being fitted.
Application and installation

The sliding T-nut is fitted into the top rail of the aluminium profile. Once inserted into the profile groove, the spring ball locks it in position, allowing it to be freely slid to the desired location. An M8 bolt is then used to tighten the clamp securing the PV module. This solution enables precise positioning of both mid and end clamps along the entire length of the profile.
