Seals and Covers for PV Mounting: Cable Seals, End Caps, Gaskets
Seals and Covers brings together the small components that finish and protect photovoltaic installations. The range includes cable seals for roof and facade penetrations, end caps for aluminium mounting profiles and EPDM gaskets. It is intended for installers and builders who need to close profile ends, seal penetrations and protect contact points.

- Cable seals EJOT®: EJOT 3 (100x100 mm, ⌀0..35 tube) and EJOT 5 (139x139 mm, ⌀5..50 tube), made of EPDM with an aluminium frame.
- End caps for 40×40 mm PV profiles: LLDPE with UV stabiliser, black or grey, in types 1, 2 and 3 (flat).
- UFR end cap for 80×40 mm PV profiles: black LLDPE, length 80 mm, thickness 32 mm.
- Self-adhesive EPDM gasket, 1000×20×2 mm, for lining PV profiles under trapezoidal sheet metal.

How to choose
- Application: choose a cable seal for penetrations, an end cap for open profile ends, and a gasket for profile-to-sheet contact or panel joints.
- Profile size: end caps are available for 40×40 mm and 80×40 mm profiles. Match the cross-section exactly.
- End cap type and colour: types 2 and 3 for 40×40 mm profiles have L 40 mm and an insertion depth of 20 mm. Choose black or grey to suit the installation.
- Number of penetrations: EJOT 3 takes a maximum of 3 (2 cables and 1 pipe). EJOT 5 takes a maximum of 5 (4 cables and 1 pipe).
- Joint width: the 30 m EPDM gasket, with a 42 x 16.5 mm cross-section, suits inter-module gaps of 17–22 mm.
Typical applications
Cable seals provide sealing for cable penetrations on roofs and facades. End caps protect the inside of aluminium profiles from rainwater, dust and dirt. The self-adhesive gasket prevents direct metal-to-metal contact between the profile and trapezoidal sheet. Carport gaskets secure joints between panels in carport structures and PV installations.
Frequently asked questions
Do the end caps need tools or extra fasteners?
No. The end caps are installed by pressing them into the profile end. The grey type 1 cap needs no additional fastening elements. The UFR cap is push-fit and needs no tools.
How do I choose between EJOT 3 and EJOT 5?
EJOT 3 provides a maximum of 3 penetrations (2 cables and 1 pipe). For more, choose EJOT 5, which provides a maximum of 5 (4 cables and 1 pipe).
Can the self-adhesive gasket be cut to size?
Yes. The 1000×20×2 mm EPDM gasket is self-adhesive and can be cut to size. It is applied to the profile before installation.
