Contactors and relays for motor, lighting and pump control

This category contains 16 contactors and relays for DIN rail installations. They switch high-load circuits such as motors, pumps, heaters, lighting and ventilation, and they also cover timing, bistable and protective functions. The range suits installers and builders who need to match function, current and coil voltage quickly.

What you will find in this category

  • Modular contactors: 230V AC coil, 2NO or 4NO, 25A or 40A, from HAGER, EATON, SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC and ETI.
  • Power contactors: Eaton DILEM-10-EA (9A, 1NO) and Schneider Electric TeSys K LC1K1610P7 (3P, 16A, 1NO), both 230V AC.
  • Bistable relays: rail-mounted BIS-411 and BIS-411-24V (16A) from F&F FILIPOWSKI, plus Hager EPN510.
  • Timer relay: F&F PCS-516UNI with 10 functions and START and RESET inputs.
  • Electromagnetic relay: F&F PK-2P-24V for 24V AC/DC control circuits.
  • Thermal protection relay: F&F CR-810DUO for PTC sensors on motors and transformers.
  • Overvoltage release: Schneider iMX 100-415V AC/DC, which activates when the supply voltage rises.

How to choose

  • Device type: choose a contactor for heavy loads, a bistable relay for switching from several buttons, a timer relay for timed control, and the CR-810DUO for motor protection.
  • Rated current: products range from 8A to 40A. Most are 16A or 25A, and the Hager ESC440 is the 40A contactor.
  • Coil voltage: 230V AC is the most common. 24V AC/DC and 100-415V AC/DC versions are also available.
  • Contact configuration: options include 1NO, 2NO, 4NO, 1NO/NC and 2NO/NC. Use 4NO for four-pole switching.
  • Mounting and size: the products here are DIN rail devices. The CR-810DUO takes 1 module, and the TeSys K measures 45 x 58 x 57 mm.

Typical applications

Hager ESC modular contactors control lighting and ventilation, including incandescent, fluorescent, discharge and LED sources. Eaton Z-SCH contactors suit residential and public buildings and mount on a standard TH 35 mm rail. Power contactors such as the TeSys K control motors, pumps, heaters and lighting in industrial installations.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to a BIS-411 bistable relay after a power failure?

It has no memory of the contact position. When the supply voltage fails and returns, the contact is set to off, so connected devices do not switch on unsupervised.

Can I switch lighting from several places with one relay?

Yes. The BIS-411 allows lighting or other appliances to be switched from several locations. Momentary (bell) buttons are connected in parallel, and each pulse toggles the relay.

How many PTC sensors can the CR-810DUO monitor?

It works with up to 6 PTC sensors. Its supply is 24 V DC/230 V AC, the contact is 1NO/NC with In 16A, and it is rated IP20.
