The PV mounting profile 40×40 mm, 665 cm long is a robust aluminium rail designed for building sub-structures for photovoltaic modules on pitched roofs. Made from aluminium 6060 alloy, it combines low weight with good mechanical strength and natural corrosion resistance. The profile features two independent mounting channels — the upper one for fixing the clamps that hold the panels, and the lower one for connecting the rail to roof hooks, adapters or triangles. This two-channel design significantly simplifies installation — the installer works exclusively from above, without needing access to the underside of the profile. The length of the rail can be further extended using profile connectors (sold separately), allowing the structure to be flexibly adapted to the dimensions of the roof slope. The profile is also available in a black anodised version, providing additional surface protection and an aesthetic appearance on roofs with dark coverings.

The cross-section of the profile has been designed for optimal load distribution and ease of installation. The upper channel — wider, with a groove allowing nuts to be inserted — is used to fix the mid and end clamps that hold the PV modules in place. The lower channel, with a narrower slot, is intended for connecting the profile to the roof sub-structure components. The wall thickness of the profile has been selected to ensure rigidity of the entire rail while maintaining low weight. The technical drawing also shows 45° chamfers on the inner edges, making it easier to insert fastening elements into the channels.

The illustration shows a typical installation scheme on a roof covered with metal roof tiles. A roof hook fixed to the rafter supports the profile, while clamps fitted in the upper rail channel hold the photovoltaic modules in place. Thanks to the use of hammer-head bolts in the lower channel, the profile can be precisely positioned along the hook without the need to drill additional holes — simply slide the bolt into the channel and move it to the required position before tightening.
