About the product

The base plate is used to bolt a 60 × 40 mm fence post to a concrete base, gravel board or plinth. It consists of a plate with mounting holes and a welded-on open section over which the post slides.

The plate dimensions p × p × t are 110 × 110 × 4 mm, with 4 holes Ø 11 mm. The section has external cross-sectional dimensions a × b of 56 × 34 mm, a wall thickness s of 1.5 mm and a height H of 190 mm above the plate. The dimensions are taken from the manufacturer's drawing.

The coating (zinc-coated and powder-coated, brown RAL 8017) protects the steel against corrosion under typical conditions. In the event of contact with salt, chemicals or constant moisture, choose a version suitable for the exposure conditions. The anchors and fixing method are specified in the fence design.

Selection and installation

• ✓Check the post cross-section – the base plate is designed for 60 × 40 mm posts.
• ✓Bolt the plate to the substrate through the 4 holes Ø 11 mm; select anchors or bolts to suit the type of substrate.
• ✓Slide the post over the section, check that it is plumb and secure the post to the section in accordance with the fencing system.
