About the product

The post is a load-bearing component of panel fencing. It is made from steel tube with a cross-section of 60 × 40 mm, and the panels are secured to it with fence post clamps sized to suit this cross-section.

In the drawing, a × b denotes the external cross-sectional dimensions: 60 × 40 mm. The tube wall thickness s is 1.2 mm, and the post length L is 2000 mm. The dimensions are taken from the manufacturer's drawing and comparison table; the cross-section is not shown to scale relative to the length.

The coating (electro-galvanised) protects the steel against corrosion under typical conditions. In the event of contact with salt, chemicals or constant moisture, choose a version suitable for the exposure conditions. The post embedment depth is specified by the fence design.

• ✓Set the post into a foundation or secure it to a fence post base plate designed for the 60 × 40 mm cross-section.
• ✓Before the concrete sets, check that the posts are plumb and spaced to suit the panel width.
