Fox is a range of FoxESS three-phase inverters for photovoltaic installations. It includes on-grid and hybrid models from 3 kW to 17 kW, all with 2 MPPT trackers and a DC switch or isolator. The range is aimed at installers fitting residential and small commercial PV systems.

How to choose
- Type: choose on-grid for grid-connected PV only. Choose hybrid if the system will include FoxESS energy storage.
- Power: match the inverter to the array size. On-grid models run from 3 kW (4.8A) to 17 kW (27.1A) output current.
- DC voltage: check the string design against the MPPT range. Maximum DC voltage is 1100V on the 6, 8, 12 and 15 kW on-grid models.
- Backup supply: the 8 kW and 10 kW hybrid models offer an EPS function.
- Monitoring: all models have WiFi. Several also offer RS485, and the 6 kW hybrid has ETH.
Typical applications
These inverters belong to the FoxESS T (G3) series. It is designed for three-phase residential installations and small commercial applications. The series is optimised for integration with FoxESS energy storage systems. It allows remote monitoring of the installation via a mobile app.

Do these inverters have a DC switch?
Yes. All 13 models have a DC switch or DC isolator and IP65 protection. The on-grid models also have AFCI protection.
Which models have an EPS function?
The Fox Hybrid Inverter 8kW (GPV-400-45) and 10kW (GPV-400-46) have an EPS function. Both are three-phase with 2 MPPT.
Can they be used with energy storage?
The hybrid models are compatible with FoxESS energy storage systems. So is the 8 kW on-grid model, GPV-400-37.
