Installation Technology: underfloor heating accessories

Installation Technology covers the accessories used to lay and test underfloor heating pipework. The range includes tacker staples, tackers and kits, mounting rails, pipe clips, wall-to-floor bends, pipe unrollers, insulation foil and pressure test plugs. It is intended for heating installers and builders who need to fix, guide and check pipes on site.

How to choose

  • Pipe diameter: welded staples fit pipes of 14-22 mm and single-finger clips 12-20 mm. Mounting rails come for 10-12, 16-18 and 20-22 mm, and pipe clips for 16-32 mm.
  • Tacker compatibility: the tackers handle 35-60 mm clips, both glued and welded.
  • Fixing method: rails with adhesive tape are bonded without drilling. Rails without tape are fixed through mounting holes.
  • Pressure test plugs: choose by thread (G 1/2" or G 3/4") or by pipe size (16, 20, 25/26 or 32 mm) for PEX/AL/PEX and PERT/AL/PERT pipes.

Typical applications

The products are used to install underfloor heating pipes in wet screed systems. Insulation foil with a 10/5 cm grid print is laid first. Pipes are unrolled and fixed with staples, clips or rails. Wall-to-floor bends guide the pipe at 90° towards the manifold. Reusable pressure test plugs close the pipe ends for testing.

Which clip lengths work with the tackers?

The Taker Ultralight and the Aluminium Tacker both handle 35-60 mm clips. They accept glued and welded types, so one tool covers different projects.

What coil size can the pipe unrollers take?

They support coils of 240-980 mm in diameter and up to 550 mm in height. Pipe length can be up to 600 m.
