Description
Wire rope grip for steel ropes, galvanised, 6 mm – DIN 741 equivalent

DIN 741 wire rope grip designed for permanent forming of loops and joining lengths of steel wire rope with a diameter of 6 mm. The design consists of a U-shaped bolt, a saddle body and two clamping nuts, which provides an even and secure clamp on the rope without damaging it. The galvanised surface protects against corrosion, so the grip is suitable for both indoor installations and those exposed to the weather. The manufacturer specifies the minimum number of grips per loop and the required spacing between them — see the specification sheet below for details.
Features and applications
- Forming loops (eyes) on steel wire ropes and guy wires
- Joining two lengths of rope with a diameter of 6 mm
- The U-bolt + saddle body design ensures even clamping of the rope
- Galvanised finish protects against corrosion in outdoor conditions
- Compact dimensions make installation easier in confined spaces

The technical drawing shows the dimensions of the grip in line with the manufacturer's markings: A corresponds to the bolt spacing (thread), B is the overall height of the grip, and C is the body width. Thanks to its compact construction, the grip is suitable for use in tight installation spaces.

The manufacturer's data sheet (control no. 41/DRO) documents the parameters of the entire DIN 741 wire rope grip range — for ropes with a diameter from 3 mm to 40 mm. It allows quick verification of dimensions and installation requirements when selecting a grip for a specific rope diameter.
