Description
Wire rope grip for steel ropes, galvanised, 3 mm – DIN 741 equivalent

DIN 741 wire rope grip for steel ropes with a diameter of 3 mm — a reliable piece of rope hardware used for forming loops, joining rope sections and terminating ropes in industrial, construction and installation applications. The design consists of a U-shaped U-bolt made of C15 steel and a cast iron body, tightened with two nuts on an M4 thread. The whole grip is protected with a zinc coating, which provides corrosion resistance in typical operating conditions. The manufacturer recommends using at least 3 grips per loop at intervals of 15–30 mm, which ensures correct load transfer and a safe connection in accordance with the DIN 741 standard.
Why choose this wire rope grip
- Compliant with the DIN 741 standard — a proven European standard for wire rope grips
- Compact dimensions (A: 4 mm, B: 16 mm, C: 9 mm), ideal for thin Ø 3 mm steel ropes
- U-bolt and nuts made of C15 steel, cast iron body — a durable construction that withstands installation loads
- Zinc coating protects against corrosion in outdoor conditions
- Sales unit: 1 piece — order exactly as many as you need for your installation

The grip dimensions are marked in accordance with the manufacturer's standard: A is the nut spacing (thread), B is the overall height of the grip, and C is the body width. Thanks to its small size, the grip is ideal wherever installation space is limited — for example, when securing guy ropes, antenna fixings or rigging lightweight structures.

The manufacturer's technical data sheet lists the parameters of the entire ZL series of wire rope grips from Ø 3 mm to Ø 40 mm. The Ø 3 mm variant presented here is the smallest size in the range — designed for the thinnest steel ropes used in, among other things, guying systems, mast rigging and lightweight installation structures.
