Description
Turnbuckle M10×125 mm, galvanised – hook–eye, DIN 1480

Turnbuckle, hook-eye, M10 DIN 1480 is a forged rope tensioner designed for adjusting the tension of steel wire ropes, chains and tie rods. The hook-eye end type provides versatile connections – the hook allows quick attachment, while the fixed eye allows permanent fastening with a pin or shackle. The body is made of low-alloy structural steel and the whole piece is coated with electrolytic zinc, which guarantees effective corrosion protection in outdoor conditions. The forged construction ensures uniform material properties and repeatable quality, while the compact dimensions make storage and installation at height easier.
Applications and advantages
- Tensioning steel wire ropes in lightning protection systems, aerial installations and mast rigging
- Adjusting the tension of tie rods in steel structures and sliding gates
- The hook-eye end allows connection to various types of fittings without additional adapters
- The forged construction provides high mechanical strength with low self-weight
- Compatible with standard wire rope fittings in the 10 mm nominal size

The technical drawing shows the key dimensions of the turnbuckle in accordance with DIN 1480. Dimension L denotes the overall body length, L1 – the length of the threaded arm, E – the hook opening, d – the thread diameter, and Ø – the eye diameter. All dimensions are given with a tolerance of ±5%.
