Surge protective device, Type II, 275 V AC, 20 kA, replaceable cartridge, 4-pole, suitable for use in photovoltaic systems.
The Ex9UE2 series is a range of Class II surge protective devices. They are designed to protect against transient overvoltages caused by fast switching or indirect lightning strikes (residual effects). It is recommended that Class II SPDs are installed multiple times every 10-20 metres of cable length, typically at main and sub-distribution panels. The Ex9UE2 20 440 are designed to work directly in coordination with Class I SPDs from the Ex9UE1 35 series. For the Ex9UE2 20 275, coordination with the Ex9UE1 35 line occurs over a cable length of 10 metres.
The Ex9UE2 construction is based on metal oxide varistors. This design ensures a very short response time. The modular construction with plug-in cartridges enables easy and quick replacement of functional modules when the MOV exceeds its service life due to frequently occurring voltage surges.
