About the product
The post is a load-bearing component of a fence, pedestrian gate or driveway gate. It is made from a steel section with a cross-section of 80 × 80 mm; the included post cap protects the inside of the section from water and debris.
In the drawing, a × b denotes the external cross-sectional dimensions: 80 × 80 mm. The wall thickness s is 2 mm, and the post length L is 2000 mm. The dimensions come from the manufacturer's drawing and comparison table; the cross-section is not shown to scale relative to the length.
The coating (semi-matt coating, black RAL 9005) protects the steel against corrosion under typical conditions. In the event of contact with salt, chemicals or constant moisture, choose a version suitable for the exposure conditions. The post embedment depth is specified in the fence design.
Selection and installation

- ✓Set the post in a foundation or secure it in a fence post base plate designed for a 80 × 80 mm cross-section; fit the post cap to close the top.
- ✓Before the concrete sets, check that the posts are plumb and spaced to suit the width of the fence panels.
Important
The manufacturer's data does not specify the post's load-bearing capacity. Choose the embedment depth and foundation to suit the fence height and ground conditions.
