Star Flex T29 zirconia flap disc is a professional abrasive tool in conical design, engineered for intensive machining of stainless steel (INOX) and carbon steel. The zirconia grain coating with 40 grit provides aggressive and rapid material removal, whilst the self-sharpening properties of the grain ensure long disc life — even during heavy, demanding grinding operations.
The 125 mm diameter and 22.2 mm mounting bore ensure compatibility with standard angle grinders. The fibreglass backing is both rigid and lightweight, and its vibration-absorbing capability helps the operator maintain full control over the tool.
Conical design (type T29)
The conical version (T29) has a narrower contact surface with the material, which increases grinding pressure and improves material removal speed. This makes it the ideal choice for working on edges, chamfering and deburring. The optimal working angle is 10°–25°.
The flat version (TLIF/TLSF) offers a broader contact surface and is better suited for grinding large, flat surfaces. The product shown is the conical variant (TLI) — designed for precision machining of corners, welds and edges.
