Star Flex T27 flat flap disc with zirconia grain 40 is a tool designed for intensive machining of stainless steel (INOX) and structural steel. The zirconia coating provides self-sharpening properties — the grain exposes new cutting edges during operation, resulting in significantly longer lifespan compared to aluminium oxide discs. For installation and welding crews, this means fewer downtime for disc changes and lower consumable material costs per project.

Flat construction (type T27)
The flat version disc offers greater contact surface with the machined material. This makes it ideal for operations requiring lower pressure and greater control, e.g. smoothing large flat surfaces. The optimal working angle is 0–15° relative to the surface, making it an excellent choice for grinding sheets, profiles and steel structural elements in flat position.
