Star Flex flap disc T29 125 mm with grit 80 is a high-quality abrasive tool designed for professional steel working. The curved design (type 29) ensures precise work on edges, corners and welds — everywhere where control over grinding angle and material removal speed matters.
The corundum coating guarantees uniform wear across the entire working surface, ensuring consistent smoothing effect without scratches. The fibreglass backing provides disc rigidity and effectively absorbs vibrations, giving the operator full control during work — even during long grinding sessions.
Curved design (T29) — when to choose?
Flap discs come in two designs. The curved (T29) version — marked as TLI / TLS — has a narrower contact surface with the workpiece. This increases grinding pressure over a smaller area, which accelerates material removal. The optimal working angle is 10°–25°. This is the ideal variant for chamfering edges, removing welds and working on corners.
The flat (TLIF / TLSF) version is designed for grinding large, flat surfaces where a wide contact zone is required.
