Star Flex T29 125mm curved flap disc Z120 is a high-grade abrasive tool with zirconia coating, designed for intensive machining of stainless steel (INOX) and carbon steel. Zirconia grain has self-sharpening properties, which translates to long disc life and maintaining high performance throughout the entire service life — fewer downtime for tool changes means faster job completion.
Z120 grit makes the disc excellent for finishing work — smoothing welds, grinding surfaces and preparing components for painting or lacquering. Thanks to the finer grain, a smooth surface without visible scratches is achieved, which is crucial when machining stainless steel components.
Curved design (T29)
The curved disc (type T29, TLI series) features a narrower contact surface with the machined material compared to flat discs (type T27). This profile provides higher unit pressure, which translates to faster material removal — particularly useful when working on edges, bevelling and deburring. Optimal working angle is 10°–25°.
The disc backing is made of strong fibreglass, which ensures structural rigidity whilst effectively absorbing vibrations. This allows the operator to maintain full control over the tool, making work more comfortable and precise.
