Star Flex FS971 – ceramic fibre disc 125 mm P36 for stainless steel
Description
Star Flex FS971 – ceramic fibre disc 125 mm P36 for stainless steel

Star Flex FS971 ceramic fibre disc with P36 grit is a high-performance abrasive tool designed for intensive machining of stainless steel, titanium, castings and nickel and cobalt alloys. The ceramic grain provides aggressive yet controlled material removal — an ideal solution for installation teams and workshops that grind welds, remove rust and smooth burrs on INOX steel structures on a daily basis.
Thanks to the ceramic abrasive layer, the disc maintains sharpness significantly longer than classic variants with corundum grain, which translates into fewer disc changes during a job and lower grinding costs per metre of machined surface.

Technical specification

Application
The coarse P36 grit ensures rapid material removal and proves effective wherever working speed is crucial — when removing weld seams, thicker rust layers and sharp burrs after cutting. The disc is compatible with standard 125 mm angle grinders equipped with backing pads for fibre discs.
Recommended materials for machining:
- Stainless steel (INOX)
- Titanium
- Castings
- Bronze
- Nickel and cobalt based alloys
Work safety
When grinding with fibre discs, full personal protective equipment must be used: protective gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection. Information about required protective equipment is printed directly on the underside of the disc.
