Solid round aluminium bar Ø250 mm in 2017A T4 alloy (duralumin), length 2000 mm. A high-strength material with excellent machinability — ideal for turning, milling and comprehensive CNC machining. The bar is supplied in a raw (non-anodised) condition, ready for further processing and industrial applications.
The EN AW-2017A alloy (chemical designation AlCu4MgSi, former designation PA6, material number 3.1325) is a classic duralumin, valued in mechanical engineering for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Thanks to T4 heat treatment, the bar achieves optimum hardness whilst retaining sufficient ductility for machining. It is the material of choice for the manufacture of shafts, pins, bushings, machine components and precision CNC parts.

Properties of 2017A T4 alloy
EN AW-2017A duralumin is a copper-aluminium alloy with elevated strength comparable to some structural steels, whilst maintaining low weight. T4 heat treatment (solution annealing and natural ageing) provides high hardness and very good machinability, resulting in efficient performance on lathes and CNC machining centres. The bar is available in a range of diameters, making it straightforward to select the appropriate size for a specific project.
