Description
Solid Round Aluminium Bar Ø200 mm 2017A T4 – Length 2000 mm

Solid round aluminium bar Ø200 mm in alloy 2017A T4 (duralumin) is a material offering high mechanical strength and excellent machinability, designed for professional CNC machining, turning, and the manufacture of machine components. The bar length is 2000 mm, enabling economical cutting planning and minimisation of material waste.
Alloy EN AW-2017A (chemical designation AlCu4MgSi, former Polish designation PA6, material number 3.1325) is a classic duralumin that has been an industry standard in machine construction and precision machining for decades. Thanks to its copper content, this alloy achieves strength parameters comparable to structural steels whilst retaining the low density of aluminium. The T4 temper denotes solution heat treatment followed by natural ageing — the material is ready for mechanical machining without any additional heat treatment.
Applications
This bar is ideally suited wherever precision machining and high strength of the finished part are required:
- CNC turning and milling — shafts, pins, bushings, rotating components
- Machine construction — machine parts, drive components, structural elements
- Special structures — prototypes, models, load-bearing components
- Pattern making and toolrooms — moulds, assembly fixtures, clamps

- Length: 2000 mm
- Dimensions (Ø × length): Ø200 × 2000 mm
- Weight: 175.94 kg (87.97 kg/m × 2 m)
- Material: aluminium 2017A T4 (EN AW-2017A)
- Alloy designation: AlCu4MgSi / PA6 / 3.1325
- Surface: raw (non-anodised)
Material Properties of Alloy 2017A T4
- High tensile strength — comparable to structural steels
- Excellent machinability — ideal for turning, milling, and drilling
- Low aluminium density combined with high mechanical performance
- T4 temper — material solution heat treated and naturally aged, ready for machining
The bar surface is raw (non-anodised), giving the aluminium its natural appearance after the extrusion process. This means the material is ready for direct mechanical machining — no removal of an anodic layer prior to cutting is required, which reduces preparation time and lowers production costs.
