The 2017A T4 alloy is distinguished by its high mechanical strength and excellent machinability, resulting in faster order fulfilment and reduced tool wear.
Duralumin 2017A T4 (EN designation: AlCu4MgSi) is one of the most widely used aluminium alloys in the mechanical engineering industry. Thanks to its high copper content, this alloy achieves strength parameters comparable to some structural steels, whilst retaining the low density characteristic of aluminium. The bar surface is raw (non-anodised), ready for further mechanical or thermal processing.
