Solid round aluminium bar Ø130 mm in alloy 2017A T4 (duralumin) is a semi-finished product with high mechanical strength, designed for precision machining and CNC turning. Thanks to its excellent machinability and homogeneous material structure, it is an ideal raw material for the production of shafts, pins, bushings, and machine and structural components.
The EN AW-2017A alloy (chemical designation AlCu4MgSi) belongs to the group of duralumin alloys — aluminium-copper alloys — characterised by very good mechanical strength comparable to structural steels, whilst maintaining a significantly lower weight. The heat treatment condition T4 (solution heat treatment + natural ageing) provides an optimal balance of hardness and ductility, which facilitates machining on CNC lathes and milling machines.
