Solid round aluminium bar Ø115 mm in alloy 2017A T4 (duralumin) is a material offering high mechanical strength and excellent machinability. Thanks to these properties, it is an ideal semi-finished product for turning, milling and CNC machining — suitable wherever precise machining and reliable strength of the finished part are required.

Alloy EN AW-2017A (alternative designations: AlCu4MgSi, PA6, 3.1325) belongs to the duralumin group — aluminium-copper alloys distinguished by excellent mechanical properties comparable to structural steels, whilst retaining low weight. The bar in heat treatment condition T4 (solution heat treatment and natural ageing) provides an optimal balance of hardness and ductility.

Technical Specifications

The raw surface of the bar has no anodic coating, which allows free mechanical machining without the need to remove protective layers. After machining, the component can be anodised, powder coated or otherwise surface finished depending on the intended application.
