Round aluminium bar Ø120 mm – view of full cross-section and raw surface

Round aluminium bar Ø120 mm made from 2017A T4 alloy (duralumin) is a full-size semi-finished product intended for professional machining. The EN AW-2017A alloy (AlCu4MgSi) combines high mechanical strength with excellent machinability, making it one of the most widely chosen materials by companies specialising in CNC turning, milling, and the manufacture of precision machine components.

The bar is supplied in a length of 2000 mm with a raw (non-anodised) surface, ready for further machining. Duralumin 2017A T4 is ideally suited to the production of shafts, pins, bushings, structural elements, and parts requiring high dimensional accuracy after machining.

  • Diameter (ØA): 120 mm
  • Length: 2000 mm
  • Dimensions (Ø × length): Ø120 × 2000 mm
  • Weight: 63.36 kg (31.68 kg/m)
  • Material: aluminium 2017A T4 (EN AW-2017A)
  • Alloy designation: AlCu4MgSi (PA6, duralumin, 3.1325)
  • Surface: raw (non-anodised)

Applications

  • Turning and CNC machining – excellent machinability of 2017A alloy
  • Manufacture of shafts, pins, and bushings
  • Components for machine structures and equipment
  • Modelling and prototyping
  • Production of parts requiring high mechanical strength

The EN AW-2017A alloy in the T4 condition (solution heat-treated and naturally aged) offers a tensile strength of 380–430 MPa, placing it among the strongest aluminium alloys available. Its copper content ensures dimensional stability after machining and makes it suitable for components operating under load. The bar is available in a wide range of diameters, allowing the optimal size to be selected for the intended part and minimising material allowance.
