Description
Round Aluminium Tube Ø40×2 mm EN AW-6060 T6 – Length 2000 mm

Round aluminium tube Ø40×2 mm is a versatile closed-section profile with a circular cross-section, manufactured from EN AW-6060 T6 alloy (PA38 / AlMgSi0.5). Thanks to its excellent strength-to-weight ratio and natural corrosion resistance, it is ideal wherever lightweight construction, ease of machining and an attractive appearance are required.
The tube in its raw state (non-anodised) is ready for further processing — cutting, drilling, bending, welding and anodising in accordance with project requirements. It is a practical base component for installation companies carrying out bespoke support structures, frames and finishing elements.
Applications
The Ø40 mm round profile is widely used across many industries — from construction to furniture manufacture and decorative elements. Its universal circular cross-section makes it easy to join using standard pipe fittings, clamps and clips.
- Construction of aluminium structures — frames, load-bearing structures, support elements
- Balustrades and handrails — lightweight, corrosion-resistant and aesthetically pleasing
- Frames and structures for photovoltaic installations and bespoke mounting assemblies
- Furniture and decorative elements — exposed profiles with a smooth surface
- Modelling work and DIY projects

Properties of EN AW-6060 T6 Alloy
The AlMgSi0.5 alloy in T6 condition is one of the most popular aluminium alloys used in construction and lightweight structures. It is characterised by excellent extrudability, which allows precise profiles with a smooth surface to be produced. Key properties of the alloy:
- High resistance to atmospheric corrosion — no additional protective coatings required
- Good weldability — can be joined by MIG/TIG methods
- Easy to anodise — after anodising, achieves an attractive, uniform finish
- Excellent extrudability — precise dimensions and smooth profile surface
- Suitable for further processing: cutting, drilling, bending, milling
