Rectangular aluminium tube 40×80×4 mm – closed profile L=2000 mm
Rectangular aluminium tube 40×80×4 mm is a robust closed rectangular section profile made from EN AW-6060 T64 aluminium alloy (PA38, AlMgSi0.5). Thanks to its excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio, it is an ideal structural material wherever low weight, corrosion resistance and ease of fabrication are paramount.
The profile, with a length of 2000 mm and a weight of just 4.84 kg (i.e. 2.42 kg/m), can be readily cut, drilled, bent and joined using standard workshop tools. The raw (non-anodised) surface allows any finishing treatment — powder coating, anodising or painting — in accordance with the requirements of a specific project.

The EN AW-6060 alloy is one of the most widely used aluminium alloys for structural applications. It is characterised by good weldability, high resistance to atmospheric corrosion and excellent suitability for anodising. The T64 heat treatment condition provides an optimal compromise between mechanical strength and ductility, resulting in ease of forming and on-site assembly.
