Description
Link with a threaded closure for connecting chains, ropes with thimbles and attachment points; closed by screwing the sleeve onto the thread, C15 steel, zinc-plated
About the product
A quick link is used for quickly connecting chains, ropes with thimbles, hooks and attachment points without specialist tools. It has a threaded closure: it is opened by unscrewing the sleeve and closed by screwing it onto the thread.
The size 6 mm denotes the bar diameter. The external length L is 58 mm, the external width A is 27 mm, and the nut length B is 20 mm. These are nominal values according to the manufacturer's datasheet. Select a link that is at least as strong as the chain being connected. During installation, unscrew the sleeve until the jaw opening is clear, and fit the components to be connected so that they do not rest on the thread or sleeve. Then tighten the sleeve fully — the link must be completely closed before applying a load.
Material: C15 steel. Coating: zinc-coated. The zinc coating protects the steel against corrosion under normal conditions; where there is contact with salt, chemicals or persistent moisture, choose the material according to the exposure conditions. The rated load according to the manufacturer's datasheet is 160 kg and must not be exceeded. The breaking load of 640 kg is an ultimate value, not the working load. The link is not intended for lifting loads or for personal fall protection. Replace the component if it is worn, deformed or corroded.
Selection and installation
- ✓Unscrew the sleeve until the jaw opening is clear.
- ✓Fit the components to be connected so that they do not rest on the thread or sleeve.
- ✓Tighten the sleeve fully – the link must be completely closed before applying a load.
Important
Not for lifting loads or for personal fall protection. Do not exceed the rated load of 160 kg; replace the component if it is worn, deformed or corroded.
