Fence Post Base 60x40 with Rod, Silver Zinc-Plated
The 60×40 fence post base with rod is a steel mounting component designed for permanently setting fence posts in a concrete foundation. The construction consists of a guide profile, a bearing plate and a ribbed rod for embedding in concrete — the whole unit protected by a silver zinc-plated coating.
The guide profile acts as a sleeve into which the fence post is slid. The steel bearing plate prevents settling and distributes the load evenly across the foundation. The ribbed rod is set in the concrete footing, and its ribbed surface provides excellent adhesion to the concrete — once the concrete has set, the element will neither rotate nor pull out.
Electro-galvanised zinc plating (silver) protects the base against corrosion both in storage and after it has been set in concrete. The guide profile allows the post to be slipped on easily, with the possibility of minor plumb adjustment before final tightening. The mounting hole in the profile allows the post to be additionally bolted in place, which eliminates the need to weld the anchor on site and significantly speeds up the installation of the entire fence. The base is ready to use straight out of the packaging — simply position it in the formwork or trench, level it and pour in the concrete.

Installation comes down to three steps: placing the base in the formwork with the rod pointing downwards, pouring the concrete and levelling the bearing plate, and, once the foundation has set, sliding the post onto the guide profile and securing it with a bolt through the mounting hole. The simple construction eliminates the need for on-site welding, which speeds up the work and reduces equipment requirements on site.
