Construction and operating mechanism
Inside the body there is a spring-loaded ratchet mechanism, visible in the photo of the back of the product. A steel pin slides along a slot in the body (travel range 68 mm), and the spring holds it in the locked position. The black foot pedal allows intuitive release of the lock — simply press down with your foot so the gate leaf can close freely.
