Kozza KE 100 – U-profile aluminium for all-glass balustrades 5000 mm black
U-type chamber profile for all-glass balustrades from the Kozza KE 100 series is a solution designed in accordance with architects' requirements and intended for professional installations — from residential spaces to commercial objects such as hotels and shopping centres. Mounted from above (flat system), it provides an aesthetic and safe method for installing toughened glass with thickness from 12 to 21.52 mm without visible fastening elements.
The profile with length 5000 mm is delivered with factory-made 17 mounting holes (Ø 12 mm with countersink Ø 29 mm), spaced every 300 mm — which significantly speeds up assembly on site. The black powder-coated finish gives the balustrade a modern, minimalist character, perfectly complementing dark window frames and interior finishing elements.

Compatibility with glass thicknesses
The KE 100 profile supports three ranges of glass panel thicknesses, which allows the solution to be adapted to project requirements and applicable safety standards:
- Glass 12–13.52 mm — standard toughened and laminated VSG panels
- Glass 16–17.52 mm — laminated panels with increased strength
- Glass 20–21.52 mm — thick laminated panels for high-load applications
Dimensions and mounting hole layout
The profile has 17 through holes with diameter Ø 12 mm with countersinks Ø 29 mm, enabling the screw head to be concealed. The holes are symmetrically arranged along the profile axis:
- Distance from edge to first hole: 100 mm
- Spacing between holes: 300 mm
- Distance from last hole to edge: 100 mm
- Total profile length: 5000 mm
Anchoring method and installation
The profile is mounted from above to the substrate surface (e.g. ceiling, parapet, balcony edge). Anchoring is carried out with screws through factory-prepared holes with countersinks. The protruding part of the profile (20 mm below the base) is embedded in the prepared substrate, ensuring a stable and durable connection.
Maximum glass height
The KE 100 profile allows installation of glass panels with a maximum height of 120 cm (1.2 m). At this height, the profile maintains full load capacity and stability, which is confirmed by wind load and impact test results for individual glass thicknesses.
Structural strength analysis of the profile
The results of displacement analysis carried out using the finite element method (FEM) confirm the high structural rigidity. The simulation was conducted for a profile with base length 1 m, under horizontal load below 500 kg (5000 N), from the base to the highest point of the profile. The maximum displacement at the upper edge of the profile is within acceptable limits (value scale from 0.030 to 0.420 Kgf, cm, C), which guarantees safe use of the balustrade.
