Description
Galvanised steel wire rope Ø8.0 mm 6×37 with fibre core FC

Galvanised steel wire rope Ø8.0 mm in 6×37 construction with a fibre core (FC) — the most flexible of the classic ropes, easy to guide over pulleys. Made from wires with a tensile strength class of 1770 N/mm² and protected against corrosion with a zinc coating. Perfect wherever rope flexibility is key while maintaining high tensile strength.

6×37 construction — maximum flexibility
The six-strand 6×37 construction consists of six strands, each containing 37 wires twisted around a common fibre core. The large number of thin wires in each strand results in exceptional flexibility of the rope — it is easy to guide over pulleys and drums, which is crucial in multi-pulley systems and on winches with a small winding radius. The fibre core (FC) further increases flexibility compared to ropes with a steel core.
Typical applications
- Winches and davits
- Pulley and multi-pulley systems
- Automotive and transport
- Technical applications requiring high rope flexibility
Technical rope — not intended for lifting people.
Sale and delivery
The rope is sold by the running metre — the ordered length is delivered as a single piece. Factory-wound onto a reel of 50 m; when ordering 50 m, you will receive a full, originally packaged reel.
