Description
Galvanised steel wire rope Ø2.0 mm single-strand 1×19 – sold by the metre

Galvanised steel wire rope Ø2.0 mm in a single-strand 1×19 construction is a rigid technical rope with very low elongation, designed for applications requiring geometric stability and high strength. Nineteen wires twisted into a single strand — without an additional core — provides rigidity superior to traditional multi-strand ropes. The wires are made in the 1770 N/mm² tensile strength class, and the whole is protected against corrosion with a zinc (Zn) coating.
The rope is sold by the running metre — the ordered length is delivered as a single, continuous piece. Factory-wound onto a 200 m reel; ordering 200 m gets you a full, originally packaged reel.
Applications
The 1×19 construction performs well wherever minimal stretch susceptibility and high corrosion resistance are required:
- Guy wires and tensioners for steel structures and masts
- Cable balustrades (handrails, infill for terrace and staircase balustrades)
- Rigging and sailing hardware
- Technical applications requiring minimal rope elongation
