Galvanised steel wire rope Ø8.0 mm in 6×19 construction with fibre core (FC) — a six-strand, soft and flexible technical rope with high load capacity, designed for industrial applications. Thanks to the construction of six strands with nineteen wires each (in a 1+6+12 layer arrangement), the rope combines high strength with flexibility, making it easier to run through sheaves and drums. Wires manufactured in strength grade 1770 N/mm² ensure a high working load, while the zinc coating (Zn) effectively protects against corrosion in harsh weather conditions.
The product is sold by the running metre — the price shown applies to 1 metre, and the ordered length is supplied as a single, continuous section. The rope is factory-wound onto a reel with a length of 50 m — ordering 50 m will get you a full, originally packaged reel.
Construction and design
The 6×19 construction means six strands laid around a central fibre core (FC). Each strand consists of 19 wires arranged in three layers: 1 centre wire, 6 wires in the inner layer, and 12 wires in the outer layer. The fibre core acts as an internal cushion — increasing the rope's flexibility and facilitating internal lubrication, which translates into a longer service life.
