Description
Galvanised Steel Wire Rope Ø10.0 mm 6×37 with FC Fibre Core

Galvanised steel wire rope Ø10.0 mm in a 6×37 construction (six strands of thirty-seven wires each) with a fibre core (FC) — the most flexible of the classic rope types. Thanks to the large number of thin wires in each strand, the rope runs easily over sheaves and drums, making it an ideal choice for applications requiring flexibility and repeated winding.
The rope is sold by the running metre — the ordered length is delivered as a single continuous section. The rope is factory-wound onto a reel of 50 m; ordering 50 m will get you a full, originally packaged reel. Manufactured in the European Union.
Applications
The 6×37 construction with a fibre core performs well wherever rope flexibility is a priority alongside high breaking strength:
- Winches and davits
- Pulley and block-and-tackle systems
- Automotive and transport
- General technical applications requiring a flexible steel wire rope

Technical parameters
- Rope diameter: Ø10.0 mm
- Construction: 6×37 (6 strands × 37 wires)
- Core: fibre (FC)
- Wire tensile strength class: 1770 N/mm²
- Anti-corrosion coating: zinc (Zn)
- Weight: approx. 0.36 kg/m
- Factory reel length: 50 m
- EAN: 5907518664784
6×37 construction versus 6×19
The 6×37 rope contains considerably more wires in each strand than the popular 6×19 construction. Thinner wires provide greater flexibility and easier winding onto drums and sheaves. This is a key advantage in systems with small working-drum diameters, hand winches and davits, where the rope must repeatedly change direction.
Important information
- This is a technical rope — not intended for lifting people
- The stated weight (0.36 kg) refers to 1 running metre, not the entire reel
- The ordered quantity is delivered as a single continuous section
