VIANO® PV-400-46 Deterrent is the most powerful and advanced acoustic device on the market, designed for effective protection of orchards, vineyards, plantations, farmland and industrial sites against wildlife and birds. Thanks to its built-in power amplifier, it generates sound with an acoustic pressure of up to 120 dB, protecting an area of up to 7000 m2.
The device emits a sequence of very loud and far-reaching sounds – three types of alarm sirens, ship warning signal and train horn. The sequence is played twice, with a total emission time of 38 seconds. Such sound variation effectively scares away wild boar, deer, foxes, red deer and birds, preventing habituation.
Why choose VIANO®?
Unlike competing devices, the VIANO® deterrent is equipped with a 5.8 GHz radar motion sensor with a viewing angle of 360° vertically and horizontally and a range of up to 10 m (80 m2). The radar sensor transmits high-frequency electromagnetic waves and analyses their echo – it detects even the slightest movement, whilst being significantly less sensitive to rain and snow than traditional PIR sensors.
Competing models typically offer only one operating mode – motion detection or timed emission. In the VIANO® deterrent, both modes can operate simultaneously, which significantly increases protection effectiveness. Additionally, the device features a dusk mode – after sunset it automatically stops sound emission, avoiding unnecessary noise at night. This mode can be disabled for 24-hour operation.
Operating modes
- Mode I – Motion detection + time intervals: radar sensor active, with the option of sound emission at set time intervals (potentiometer adjustment from 4 minutes to 2 hours)
- Mode II – Time intervals only: radar sensor disabled, device emits sounds exclusively at set intervals
The device's operating volume can be continuously adjusted from 0 to 100% using the built-in potentiometer, adapting it to the size of the protected area. Sound emission time intervals are set on a scale from 0 to 9, corresponding to a range of 4 minutes to 2 hours.
Remote control with 500 m range
The device is operated using the included remote control with extendable antenna. Button 1 is used to turn the deterrent on and off, whilst button 2 activates the flash function and manually triggers sound emission. The remote's range in open space is up to 500 m, allowing convenient control even from a great distance.
Flexible power supply – 230V mains or 12V battery
The device can be powered from a 230V socket (power supply included) or from any 12V battery, enabling installation virtually anywhere – without the need for mains electricity. For field operation, a battery with a capacity of 18 Ah or greater is recommended. Battery connection cables are included in the set.
Practical applications
The VIANO® deterrent works wherever wildlife and birds cause damage – in orchards, vineyards, plantations, on farmland and on industrial sites. Sounds emitted from a distance ensure that pests do not approach the protected area.
