About the product

The base is used to mount a fence post with a cross-section of 60 × 40 mm. It consists of a section mounted on a plate and a rod designed to be mortared or concreted into the substrate on which the plate rests.

Check the post cross-section when selecting the base – the external dimensions of the base section a × b are 56 × 36 mm. The wall thickness of the section s is 1.5 mm, and its length L1 is 180 mm. The plate dimensions p × p × t are 80 × 80 × 4 mm. The rod has a diameter Ø of 20 mm and a length L2 of 170 mm. Mortar or concrete the rod into the substrate, resting the plate on the surface. Before the mortar or concrete sets, check that the section is plumb and at the correct height; attach the post once it has set.

The silver zinc coating (silver zinc-coated) protects the steel against corrosion under typical conditions. Where exposed to salt, chemicals or persistent moisture, a version suitable for the exposure conditions must be selected.
