About the product

The eye hook with safety catch serves as an end fitting for a rope or chain sling. Select a connector, such as a shackle or link, that fits within the eye.

The hook's rated load is 1500 kg and must not be lower than the sling's working load limit. Eye dimension B = 28 mm is used to select a connector, which must fit within the eye. The throat opening (at the latch) is E = 25 mm, and the dimension from the inside of the eye to the hook bowl is R = 103 mm. These are nominal values according to the manufacturer's datasheet (with a dimensional tolerance of ±5%). Seat the load in the hook bowl, not on the tip. The latch must close freely.

Material: C45 steel. Coating: zinc-coated and lacquered. The breaking load is 7360 kg according to the manufacturer's datasheet and is not the working load. The sling's working load limit depends on its weakest component and operating angle — it is specified by the design or the sling instructions. Inspect the hook before each use. Cracks, deformation, a spread throat or a faulty latch mean that it must be withdrawn from service. Do not use the hook for lifting people.
